How do I size a U‑bolt?
Measure inside width (tubes or pipe diameter), length of legs (beam or clamp depth), and choose a nut plate combination. Make sure you still have enough thread for thick attachments.
316 or 304—which one should I choose?
316 for continuous salt, chemical, or moisture exposure. 304 is perfectly fine in indoor, non-aggressive conditions.
